Seeding for Llangollen

Seb Frost at Rootsandrain.co.uk has drawn up the seeded start list for this weekend's BDS Round 3 at Llangollen.

Seb uses clever maths and bases the seed on not only the current series standings, but on every downhill race you have ever done. That means that your place in the seeded start list ought to be a fair reflection of where you *should* be in your race run, a good day will see you beat it. A bad day will see you slip behind.

Jim Lycett, Junior, Seeded 67th of 67:
With only a few races under his belt and no national results, Jim's in at the deep end in the toughest catagory, but has the easiest job to claw his way up to his rightful place in the Junior field. Predictions: 60th or better

Mick Whyte, Veteran, Seeded 17th of 20:
Mick's performance at his first national sees him move up the seeding list. If Mick can put his pedalling legs away and put on his Steep head, a top 10 is a possibility. Predictions: Top 15

Andy Hughes, Senior, Seeded 9th of 65:
Andy's performances at races this year are vastly better than last years, but will he be able to get another top 15 at Llangollen? I think he can, and a solid top 10 would be a good aim. A very good day could see him on the podium. Predictions: Top 10

Adam Halling, Senior, Seeded 7th of 65:
After his 5th at Nant G, the pressure's been on Adam to replicate the result at a National Adam's not been out of the top five at any other races this year. Adam's got to aim to be on a step at a track that surely suits his style. Predictions: Top 5

Elliot Machin, Elite, Seeded 42nd of 45:
It's tough at the top, and be under no illusions, Elliot is at the top. The men ahead of Elliot are world class athletes racing World Cups and major European races. Elliot has a mountain to climb, but if there's anyone I know who's got the drive to do it, it's Elliot. Llangollen suits him and with a bit of luck, Elliot can pick up some solid points.  Predictions: Top 30.
