English Champs - Moelfre
Good results for Elliot and Andy at Moelfre yesterday.
Andy was 6th in a field of 93 Seniors - he had the escape of the year, doing the final jump and compression standing on one pedal!!
Elliot was 4th in Elite - Elliot actually got on the podium as the guy in 3rd place was Welsh. A case of what might have been as he had a mechanical on the fastest part of the track that cost him valuable seconds. Alex Thompson had a rare outing and i think it would be fair to say he found the going pretty hard. That said he improved with his second run which was his aim.
Last race of the year in two weeks at the Midlands Champs, and I'm sure Elliot and Andy can pull something spectacular out of the bag!
Special mentions to Cannock rider Ben Worral who took 3rd on the English Podium, and to Ed Smith who is currently in hospital after a horrorshow crash over the huge quarry gap at the top of the course, get well soon mate!
